SOUTH LOOP — Justin Ishbia’s vision for a new White Sox stadium and mixed-use development in the South Loop took another step forward with the purchase of The Maxwell shopping center last week. An affiliate of Ishbia’s Chicago-based private equity firm, Shore Capital Partners, purchased the 240,000-square-foot shopping center at 1100 S. Canal St. for about $15 million Oct. 1, according to state property records. The sale was first reported by Crain’s Chicago Business.  The purchase adds another property to Ishbia’s growing footprint around The Railyards, his proposed mixed-use development along the Chicago River that would be anchored by a new White Sox ballpark. Ishbia, a minority owner of the White Sox who is expected to eventually take over the team, unveiled renderings for the new development in September. The proposal calls for a new stadium on the site of an existing Amtrak rail yard, along with housing, retail and a potential Northwestern Medicine healthcare facility. A
